The Brandenburg Prairie Foundation was founded in 1999 by photographer and filmmaker Jim Brandenburg with a mission to promote, preserve and expand the native prairie in southwest Minnesota. Through numerous projects, the Brandenburg Prairie Foundation educates the public and heightens awareness of the prairie's ecological significance and beauty.
